    Amalfi Coast Boat Tour Details

    What to Expect

Departing from Sorrento, our Captain will sail on the way to the Amalfi Coast, located on the southern side of the hill, overlooking the bay of Salerno, keeping Capri on the right side and the bay of Ieranto on the left.
The Bay of Ieranto is a protected marine reserve where, with a bit of luck, you can see dome dolphins and tunas.
The Amalfi Coast is the coastline between Amalfi and the edge of the Peninsula.

Amalfi – The ancient Maritime Republic

The First stop will be the ancient Maritime Republic of Amalfi where you can explore the city centre, just two steps from the pier.
Walking around the city centre you can explore the little roads, full of nice shops, artisanal patisseries and the most important cathedral of the city, the Byzantine marble dome dedicated to Saint Andrea.

Furore Fjord: have you ever seen “L’Amore: The Human Voice and The Miracle (1948)” ?

After spending some time in Amalfi, the Captain will sail to Positano, offering free time for swimming in one of the most beautiful bays located between the two cities.
Another amazing spot to visit between Positano and Amalfi is the famous Furore Fjord; This is one of the most authentic fishermen village, secluded inside the Fjord, where you can see the ancient fishermen houses, filmed in the famous Italian movie “L’Amore” with the beautiful actress Anna Magnani.

    Positano, the vertical village

Once arrived in Positano the vertical village will be the perfect scenery for amazing pictures from sea level, with the colourful houses on the background.
During your free time on land you can walk through the narrow roads where the local artisans use to paint ceramic vases, make handmade leather sandals and sew the linen clothes famous worldwide.
Positano is the coolest city of the Amalfi Coast and is the preferred destination for many famous people from all over the world.

    Way back to Sorrento

After the visit to Positano the tour continues on the way back to Sorrento, passing close to Li Galli Isles, where, according to the legends, Ulysses, the Homeric hero, heard the songs of the Mermaids.
Just before docking in Sorrento, a last stop will be at the ruins of the Roman Villa “Pollio Felice”, also known as “Bagni Regina Giovanna”.

During the navigation you can enjoy the view on the sundeck located in the frontside or behind the captain station, comfortably seated on the cushions.
