The Amalfi Coast tour is an exciting adventure to live with Sorrentotrips.
Departing from Sorrento or from the port closer to your accomodation, our Captain will sail along the Amalfi Coast. This stripe of coastline is located on the southern side of the Sorrentine peninsula, and overlooks the bay of Salerno.
At the edge of the Amalfi Coast you can visit the Bay of Ieranto, a protected marine reserve where, with a bit of luck, you can see dome dolphins and tunas.
The First stop of the tour will be the ancient Maritime Republic of Amalfi where you can explore the city centre, reachable in less than two minute waling and spend time shopping around the city centre, exploring the little roads, full of nice shops, artisanal patisseries and the most important cathedral of the city, the Byzantine marble dome dedicated to Saint Andrea.
The Dome is one of the icons of the city and reflects the original style of Amalfi.
The net of narrow roads show you the ancient past of the city and amazing views of the architecture of the town.
After your free time in Amalfi, the Captain will sail again to reach Positano, the second and most important city on the Amalfi Coast.
On the way between Positano and Amalfi, if you wish, you can swim in some of the most amazing bays, snorkel and take pictures of the best sites.
A short visit to the Furore Fjord is a must. The little fjord host one of the most typical fishermen village of the region, setting of famous movies and one of the most beautiful sites to take stunning pictures.
Once arrived in Positano the vertical village will be the perfect scenery for amazing shootings from sea level, with the colourful houses on the background.
You can explore the town, very close to the port and walk along the promenade, shopping through the narrow roads where the local artisans use to paint ceramic vases, make handmade leather sandals and sew the linen clothes famous worldwide.
Positano is the most amazing city on the Amalfi Coast and is the favourite holiday destination for many famous people from all over the world and a milestone for shopping and to live the real sensation of the Italian Dolcevita.
After visiting Positano the tour continues to Li Galli Isles, where, according to the legends, the mermaids used to live. Now the little archipelago is privately owned, and you can admire on the isle a nice white church and the Norman tower built during the middle age, recently restored.
The tour will end returning at your home port.
The Amalfi Coast offers a huge variety of secluded bays, little beaches and restaurants at sea level.
One of the most beautiful places is Nerano Bay, where you can find a large choice of typical restaurants and nice seafood trattorias.
Moreover, between Positano and Amalfi there are some excellent spots, such as La Tonnarella or Bagni Santa Teresa where you can enjoy amazing food at sea level.
