Deposit:
Security deposit of € 300 for each rented scooter (pre-authorization on credit card or cash) – € 400 for Vespa Primavera 125cc.

Rates include:
Unlimited kilometres, RCA insurance, taxes, 22% VAT, approved helmets, scooter replacement in case of breakdown or accident

Rates do not include:
Fuel, general fines and fines for infringements or failure to pay motorway tolls

Payments:
Payments can be made by credit card of the circuits: VISA, MASTERCARD cash and with Paypal

Documents and age required:

– Valid identity document
– Valid driving license as follows:

50cc: Driving license category AM/A/B as per European standard or international equivalent. Minimum age 18 (eighteen) years.
125cc: Driving license category A/B as per European standard or international equivalent. Minimum age 18 (eighteen) years.
300cc: Driving license category A as per European standard or international equivalent. Minimum age 18 (eighteen) years.

Please note that all the extra-European citizens, with a driving license that does not comply with European Union standards, need to have an international driving permit.

Thefts:

In the event of partial or total theft of the motor vehicle, the Customer needs to return the original keys of the scooter and the theft report presented to the competent Authorities to Sorrento Trips. The Customer will be charged a penalty equal to the commercial evaluation of the motor vehicle, reported by Eurotax Giallo at the time of the theft, in addition to the value of the optionals and any fittings.

Cancellation policy:

Cancellations more than 15 days prior to arrival date: full refund
Cancellations between 14 and 7 days prior to arrival date: 50% refund will be done
Cancellations less than 7 days prior to arrival date: full amount to be charged
In case of no-show: full amount will be charged.
If at the moment of the delivery of the scooter the guest will not be able to drive it, the scooter will not be given and the full amount will be charged.

Other notes:

The rental period begins on the day and time of the delivery of the scooter and ends on the day and time of the return of the scooter. Each rental day is made up of 24 hours. After the 24 hours, in case of delays in giving back the scooter, an extra day will be charged.
In high season periods (June, July and August), a flexibility of 60 minutes for each delivery/pick up out of our office is required.
Is highly suggested to contact our office at least 24 hours before the day of the rental in order to define time and details.

FAQ about Vespa Rental in Sorrento

To rent a scooter with Sorrento Trips, you need a valid ID document and a valid driving license. License requirements by engine size:
– A1/B for 51–125cc scooters,
– A2/A for scooters over 125cc.

The rental price includes unlimited mileage, approved helmets, third-party insurance (RCA), taxes and VAT (22%), and scooter replacement in case of a breakdown.

Yes. Delivery and pickup are available in several locations in the area, including Sorrento, Sant’Agnello, Piano di Sorrento, Meta, Massa Lubrense, Vico Equense, and also toward the Amalfi Coast (for example Positano, Praiano, Ravello). We recommend contacting our office within 24 hours in advance to confirm timing and details.

You do not need to be an “expert rider”, but you must be fit to ride and feel confident on the busy, scenic roads of the Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast. If, at the time of delivery, the guest is not considered fit to ride, the scooter will not be handed over and the amount will be charged.

Yes. A security deposit is required via credit card pre-authorization.

Cancellation policy:
– up to 15 days before arrival: full refund;
– 14 to 7 days before: 50% refund;
– less than 7 days before: full charge;
– no-show: full charge.

If weather conditions are particularly adverse and it is not possible to reschedule the scooter rental, a full refund will be issued.

Sorrento has ZTL restricted areas with gates and controls, especially in the central area and historic center. Always follow local signs and choose permitted parking areas before walking into the center.
