Capri and Positano Boat Tour Program
Departing from Marina Piccola, Sorrento’s characteristic port, the boat will cruise along the coast, providing a view of the beautiful Regina Giovanna, a bay with clear waters that holds the remains of an ancient Roman villa. As you continue, you will pass through the fishermen’s village of Marina della Lobra before reaching Punta Campanella, the point where the Sorrento Peninsula seems to touch Capri.

Arrival in Capri and the Blue Grotto
Once on the island, you will discover some of its natural wonders, starting with the legendary Blue Grotto, famous for its vivid blue light that creates surreal reflections inside the cave. You will enter the cave aboard small boats, and as you admire the stunning shades of blue, the sailors will sing Neapolitan songs that echo off the walls, offering a unique and unforgettable experience. After visiting the Blue Grotto, you will sail toward the captivating Heart Grotto and continue to the majestic Punta Carena Lighthouse, standing proudly on the cliffs. Next, you will explore the breathtaking Green Grotto, where the sea turns emerald, and finally, head to Marina Piccola, where you can disembark for a delicious lunch at one of the seaside restaurants. NOTE: The Blue Grotto is a paid attraction not included in the tour price and can be substituted with extra time on the island once you are ashore. Access to the Blue Grotto depends on weather conditions and wait times. Sorrento Trips staff cannot predict its availability in advance.
After the break, the tour will continue with a sail past the iconic Faraglioni, the towering rock formations that have become a symbol of Capri. You’ll also visit the captivating White Grotto, where the limestone formations create awe-inspiring sights. Leaving Capri behind, the journey will proceed toward the Li Galli archipelago, steeped in myth and legend.
Positano and Return to Sorrento
We will then sail to Positano, the jewel of the Amalfi Coast. Here, pastel-colored houses rise along the cliffs, creating a breathtaking view. If you’d like, you can disembark to walk through its charming streets, browse the elegant artisan boutiques, and soak in the vibrant atmosphere of this corner of paradise.
On the return trip, the boat will glide past the wild Tordigliano beach, the enchanting Crapolla Fjord, and the charming Isca Island, which once served as a refuge for the famous Italian playwright Eduardo De Filippo. The journey will proceed along Marina del Cantone and the stunning Ieranto Bay. Relax at the bow and enjoy the scenery before returning to Marina Piccola. Your private tour concludes after about 8 hours with a drop-off at your hotel.
